4 World Trade Center
New York,  NY 10006
On Sunday, March 19th, Chris Crean a volunteer in the Hauppauge Fire Department will be participating in the NYC Firefighter Stair Climb at 4 World Trade Center. Chris will be climbing the steps up 72 flights in full turn-out gear and breathing apparatus in memory of his mentor and friend Ray Meisenheimer. In addition to being a Hauppauge volunteer, Ray was also a member of FDNY Rescue 3 and was taken from us on 9-11.
For the first time, Chris' oldest son, Collin will be joining him on the climb. Collin will climb in memory of Hauppauge H.S. graduate, and family friend, John Tipping Jr. John was a member of FDNY 4 Truck and was also killed on 9-11.
All proceeds from their stair climb will benefit Companions in Courage Foundation (www.CiC16.org). This foundation was created by NHL Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine to connect pediatric patients with their family, classmates and heroes. We are inspired by our fellow firefighters to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Please consider making a donation at the Crean’s fundraising page www.active.com/donate/FirefighterStair . Donations will also be accepted by mail at Companions in Courage Foundation, P.O. Box 768, Huntington, NY 11743.
