Kenneth MacDonald memorial service

Kenneth MacDonald of Huntington was called to heaven on the evening of December 10th. He had been married 61 years after serving as an airman of note in the U.S. Air Force (Concert Band). He served as a music educator for 33 years and played jazz trombone most of his life.  Memorial Visitation will be held - M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Avenue, Huntington Station, NY 11746 - on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., with a Memorial Service at the funeral home at 8 p.m.

Ken placed his family above all else in life. It is fitting that his family celebrates his life by inviting friends and family to support an organization that ensures that pediatric patients and THEIR families have a little better time of it.

The MacDonalds encourage those who want to celebrate Kenneth's life to support Companions in Courage Foundation (www.CiC16.org). The organization was founded by Hall of Fame hockey great Pat LaFontaine. They believe that no child in the fight for life or health should ever have to go through it alone. The foundation has built 20 Lion's Den playrooms in pediatric hospitals across North America (including at Huntington Hospital).

Please select the "DONATE NOW" option in the top bar on this page, and note Ken's name in the message box. An acknowledgement of your donation will be sent to the MacDonald family with deep appreciation and gratitude.
