DuPont was looking for a way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Corian, their product that cleans easily and prevents the risk of infection to patients. Employee John Hannan, a native of Buffalo, spearheaded the effort to bring the Lion's Den to Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Several local sponsors including Carly's Club and the Buffalo Sabres contributed to the new room and representatives were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony on November 13, 2007.
The room has three XBox 360 stations, four PCs, a Video Conference pod and a Windows Media Center with a flat panel TV.
